Details
Theodore Strange is a Rock band out of St. Petersburg, Florida. This wasn’t my first collaboration with the members of Theodore Strange, having done a studio music video shoot and concert filming of their previous bands. This was a small jam at the now defunct Jabba’s Palace, which was a practice space for several bands in the Tampa Bay Area. We wanted to do something different with this, so we decided what better way to make Theodore Strange even stranger than adding a Japanese Kaiju movie to the background?

One of the major challenges with this film was trying to make sure the small part of the movie during this song would still attempt to tell a story, so it wouldn’t seem completely non-sequitur. I ended up using pieces from another film to bridge the gap towards the finale, as well as add some punch to the comedic editing.
